Economic Development

Because of consistent Republican policies, Georgia has been the top state in which to do business for seven straight years. The Georgia General Assembly makes it a priority to improve the lives of all Georgians in both rural and urban areas. We seek to expand healthcare options and rural broadband access, and promote economic development.

We need representatives who will work to remove restrictive regulations, not create them. I was proud to sponsor House Bill 914 this year. This bill supports our military families and veterans as they seek to make Georgia their home. This bill would streamline and expedite the professional licensing process for military spouses and veterans who are transitioning off active duty by easing restrictions for those who hold existing licenses from other states.

Agriculture is of vital importance to Georgia’s economy, bringing in billions of dollars every year. Last year, with the passage of the agricultural hemp bill, we allowed farmers to legally grow this crop under certain conditions. The Georgia General Assembly makes it a priority to support Georgia’s farmers who devote their lives to feeding and clothing our state.
